Bay of Fundy Collection Lapis Lazuli Opera Necklace

The large gauge copper in this Opera length necklace was repurposed as part of the AG Collection. Each link is hand formed; sometimes hammered, sometimes torched, sometimes braided. The focal links are adorned with matte finished Lapis Lazuli, many using a herringbone pattern reminiscent of a peacock feather's eye. It is 36" long and a very versatile style. It has been deeply patinated, polished, and sealed with a microcrystalline wax for protection. The spirit of AG lives on in this collection.

Lapis Lazuli is thought to enhance one's spiritual awareness and psychic abilities when the third eye chakra is balanced. It is also associated with the throat chakra. Historically, Lapis Lazuli has been considered a stone of protection and the metal of the magician. It amplifies the energies of the stones it accompanies. It is excellent for channelling as well as grounding, thus considered the conduit between heaven and earth. Copper has long been used to aid tissue repair, blood support, and increase vitality. The larger gauges of copper used in my pieces have been reclaimed from castaway wiring, supporting my eco-friendly mission; "Jewelry with a re-purpose!".
