Brier Island, Nova Scotia is one of the most biodiverse marine areas in the province. 

The rich kelp and seaweed of this coastline provide food for a large number of seals and sharks. Humpback whales frequent this vibrant waters as well. One lone orca can be seen nearby each year. The locals refer to him as Ol’ Tom.
