Product Description

  • Gua Sha is a technique used in traditional Chinese Medicine.

Each side of Chinook’s Bian Stone Gua Sha Tool was purposefully shaped to contour different areas of your face and neck. When practiced regularly, using the proper technique, facial gua sha can increase radiance by helping improve blood circulation, reduce puffiness, release excess muscle tension, and smooth fascia.

Our Gua Sha is made with Black Bian Stone, also known as Black Jade.

It has all the sides you need for different areas of the face in one high-quality tool. There’s both a heart-shaped side and a pointed side. The latter has a comb-like edge that feels especially nice when used to massage trigger points on the top of your head and temples.

The goal is to target stagnation and restore the flow of qi for healthy-looking skin and tissue. Stagnation can look like excess fluid buildup in the face, which gua sha can help with, resulting in less puffiness, giving the appearance of more defined facial features.

The subtly sculpted appearance of the face is a temporary side effect of improved circulation and the release of tension in the chin, neck, head, and jaw.

Pairing our skincare products especially the Superfruit Gel-to-Milk Cleanser with Chinook Bian Stone Gua Sha can be a game-changer. The gentle scraping motion helps your serum and moisturizer penetrate deeper into your skin, allowing them to work more effectively. This synergy between the Gua Sha, and your products can amplify their benefits, helping you achieve your skin goals faster.

Made from certified  Black Bian Stone, packed in its own grey felt case.

Our Bian Stone Gua Sha's are all handmade & finished by craftspeople in China.

    The approximate measurements: 10cm x 5.5cm x 8mm

    Directions

Facial Gua Sha should be practiced regularly to get the best result. Once or twice a week is ideal. Use a couple of pumps of the Superfruit Gel-to-Milk Cleanser, applying to the entire neck and face area, depending on where you're using your tool.  Glide the tool over your skin using light to medium pressure in short unidirectional strokes. Repeat 5-10 strokes for each area, starting from the collar bone, working your way up your neck and face.
